These Are Some of the Origins of Salsa

This is a collection of various videos I shot. Many of them feature traditional dances from my tribe, the Bassa tribe. There are three main dances featured here. Lihongo, Ngola and Assiko. The first is sacred, used for rituals, and mainly performed by men. The second one is mainly performed by women, and the last by everyone. The Assiko is a popular dance known by everyone in Cameroon.
