My lovely wife saw it fitting to throw me a surprise 40th birthday party. The trick is, I was really 41. Her reason (like she needs one to organize a party) was that my 40th birthday celebration last year coincided with (was therefore overshadowed by) our wedding reception. My esteemed friend Paul Evans (who runs his own production company) is one of the best photographers I know. He was kind enough to bring his camera. He took all the pictures you'll see in a moment.

I was pleasantly surprised to see my youngest brother and his wife at the party. He managed to drive down from Canada. Of course, all my closest friends and family in the area were able to attend. I would like to them thank them again for making this day memorable.

Last, but never least, special thanks to my wife who always puts me first.
