My 41st Birthday
Salsa Dancing

Some of you may wonder what "Le danseur" means. Well, it is French for "The Dancer". French (my first western language) is one of the many languages I speak, when you add all the languages from Cameroon (my native land) that I am fluent in. I am not a dancer by trade. My day job (I am an Independent Consultant), pays for my Salsa addiction. Yes it's an addiction, albeit a good one. Being a Salsero isn't just about dancing. It's a lifestyle, a culture. It's hard to explain. The best way to understand what being a Salsero is, is to become one. But beware: Once you start, you can't stop :-) (sounds like a chips commercial).

My goal, when I decided to build this website, was to share my experience about my trip to Cuba. But as I kept working on it, it occurred to me that I should share with you non only what I saw and learned in Cuba, but also my passion and the reason for going there in the first place: That reason is the dance of life, that passion is Salsa.

To those who can't take off their political lenses, let me say that I am a staunch capitalist with a social conscience. I do not condone how Fidel Castro runs his country. But as a Canadian citizen, I am free to travel anywhere I want. My trip was strictly cultural. I am looking forward to the day when the Cuban people will be free because that island had a lot to offer.

This site also chronicles the wonderful events that have taken place in my life since then. From meeting my future wife, to getting married. It's all here.

Enjoy your stay!
